DESCRIPTION:
WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual Bombay, ref 5018, circa 1950s, 33mm x 40mm to lug tips, 18mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back Oyster case with twisted "Bombay" lugs, black leather strap, original silvered honeycomb dial with applied silver indices inset with radium, 18J, no s# available as they have been polished off the case, triple signed, inside back ref 5018.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork, light tarnish and discoloration to plates and rotor edge; excellent dial with light radium burns and discoloration from years of use; excellent-plus radium alpha hands; heavily polished case shows light wear, bombay lugs have been slightly rounded and have lost their sharp appearance, light dings on the case back from the slip of a case wrench; original signed crown shows little wear, good threads; good plastic crystal; resealed for auction.
